GRAMPS Genealogical program
«

Hi guys,
I would really love to see a Puppy version of GRAMPS, the program for family historians and genealogists. I have used it on Ubuntu, so I have a fair amount of data stored.
I have tried other Linux alternatives, but I would still prefer to use GRAMPS.
Fingers crossed, eh ?
I am currently using Puppy 421, and trying out 43Beta1.
Hope this database really takes off. It would be really nice to have one central repository for PETs/PUPs.
Regards,
Phil ...(oops, sorry.....UncleBaldie)...

Welcome unclebaldie,
one thing you might not have thought of is to use one of the new woof builds of Puppy, upup or dpup, they both have access to Ubuntu and Debian packages(respectively) natively, and in dpup certainly you can just install Gramps from Puppy Package Manager, by selecting the lenny main repo and using the find option with Gramps, and it will install it.
dpup can be found at
http://www.dpup.org
